Are you bored? I know, me too. Most people are. COVID-19 got us stuck in the house all day long with little to no physical interactions with others. Most people are at home with their children, animals, partners and some are alone.
No Worries! We shall stay sane and safe! There are tons of things to do during COVID-19 and not all required you be cooped up in the house. I know most people have fallen hard for tv, music and anything scrolling across their phone screens but that’s okay but the world is bigger than that screen.
My partner and I have started back running daily and scheduling veggie days to stray away from the COVID-15 (much like your freshman 15, uah!). As you can see my blog is quite new, yeah, COVID made me do it. I’ve started Film Friday, which I hope you all indulge and am working with a few other projects. There are tons of things you can do during COVID to keep you from running around catching and/or spreading one of the deadliest virus’s of the 21st century.
I could go on for days about things that people could do during COVID-19 but really most people are preoccupied with their families. So here’s a short list that I hope you guys are able to take from. Give one thing a try and see if it stick.
- Hike anyone?
- Bike riding, feel the wind.
- Read a book!!
- Zoom movie night. Wine & All!
- Rent scooters and ride around town
- Picnic? Everybody bring their own blanket & food
- Are you a writer? Do you like to write? How about poetry or music?
- Research a new topic, sounds lame until you learn something you didn’t know.
- DIY projects, FALL DECOR! Make some.
- Get a pet! I love my babies (I have a cat and a dog) Rescue a poor animal and give him/her a home
I mean look at my babies! Aren’t they just the cutest!

I know there’s a lot that can be said about what’s happening in America right now but try not to go insane living through this. Some people are thriving off of this pandemic while others struggle in the shadows. I understand this time is overwhelming for a lot of house holds but as a community we can overcome this.
Be a survivor and find a way to power through this treacherous time our government is leading us through. Here are a list of resources in the Atlanta area for those in need.
- United Way of greater Atlanta
- Georgia Equality
- Gateway
- Here is a great list provided by the AJC.
- Food4Life Atlanta Survival Program
- Open Hand
- Meals On Wheels
- The Giving Kitchen
I hope this information is of use to all in need. I know this time is difficult and stressful for many. Most people don’t have the time to indulge in the fun and free actives like others and aren’t thriving in a failing economy for 80% of America, but we won’t let this drive us insane. Maintain your peace and press forward.
Love and peace of mind do protect us. They allow us to overcome the problems that life hands us. They teach us to survive… to live now… to have the courage to confront each day.
